Expand your knitting skills by learning how to make beautiful lace!

Class Description: Students will learn how to knit lace including yo, increases, decreases, chart reading, and other tips and tricks while creating a sampler with different lace sections.

Instructor Biography: Victoria Boehmer of Dragonwood Ranch and The Knitting Dragon is a passionate fiber artist, teacher, and designer who resides in Erie County, PA. On her homestead is a flock of Shetland Sheep which contribute when she teaches fiber preparation and spinning. She has continued to expand her knitting skills by working toward her Master Hand Knitter Certification. Along with her fiber pursuits she also homeschools and does local agricultural community outreach.

Prerequisites: Students should know the basics of knitting: cast on, knit, purl, and bind off.

Homework: None

Length of Class: 2 hours

Class Fee: $25

Material Fee: $15 (optional – includes yarn and needles)

What do I need to bring? Fingering or Lace weight yarn (about 100 yards) and size US 6 or 7 needles (preferably 16″ circular)

Maximum Class Size: 12 students

Target Ages: Age 15 and up
