

An Introduction to Knitting

Class Description: Students will be taught the basic knitting techniques required to knit the Cotton Washcloth of Learning (a basic pattern written by the instructor). The pattern incorporates all of the basic stitches and allows students to practice while completing a project.
Instructor Biography: Mariah Stanford is a knitter with 15 years of experience who has always loved sharing her craft with other people. She prefers circular needles and to have at least three different projects on her needles. If Mariah is not knitting you’ll find her in the garden, baking in the kitchen, or gaming with her friends.

Length of Class: 3 hours
Class Fee: $20
Material Fee: $25 (optional if student does not bring their own yarn and needles.)
What do I need to bring? If student does not purchase materials they need to bring 1 skein of cotton yarn (2.5oz/70g with 120 yd/109m) and US 8 (5mm) 16″ circular needle
